A Story of Passion, and the Pursuit of Happiness

Some people discover their purpose over time. Others just know. I’ve never questioned mine: helping people feel better and guiding them through life’s most important health moments. That’s who I am.

That sense of purpose shapes how I show up for others, whether it’s at home or in my work as a Clinical Director and Care Advocate at HealthEZ. I guide people through some of the most difficult, confusing, and emotional moments of their healthcare journey—helping them feel supported, informed, and seen. My passion as a nurse is rooted in healing—providing clarity, comfort, and compassion to people when they need it most. That’s what drives my work every day.

As a Care Advocate, I help members through some of the most overwhelming parts of the healthcare system. I make sure they understand what’s happening, what their options are, and what to expect next. I help them avoid costly mistakes and feel less alone in the process. It’s deeply personal work—and exactly what I was meant to do. And in a world that’s moving faster, more virtual, and more automated, that kind of personal connection matters more than ever.

Healthcare is changing fast. Between telehealth, home-monitoring devices, and AI, we have incredible tools at our fingertips. But with those tools comes distance, like a missed skin check or a symptom overlooked through a screen.

At HealthEZ, we believe in reaching out before members even realize they may need care.

When a recent claim showed a member had been prescribed antibiotics, our advocacy team stepped in. During outreach, the member shared they had stopped the medication after feeling better, but also mentioned new, concerning symptoms. Thanks to our proactive approach, we scheduled an in-person appointment where the member received timely care that revealed a more serious underlying issue. Early intervention like this helps members get the care they need—before conditions become more severe.

This is a clear example of why Care Advocacy is essential and must be proactive. It’s not just about reacting when something goes wrong. It’s about staying engaged, educating members, and helping them make informed, confident decisions before small issues become big problems.

Care Advocacy is integrated into every plan as an essential service at HealthEZ. We don’t just respond; we proactively reach out, walk members through their benefits, and explain what each program actually means.

Because people don’t just need coverage. They need clarity. They need a human connection. They need someone in their corner. And for me and my team, that’s the work that matters most—making sure every member feels seen, supported, and empowered to make the best decisions for their health.
