What is a Health Assessment?

Posted on in Health

A health assessment involves an online health assessment questionnaire as well as a biometric screening. A biometric screening may be held on-site at your organization, or through your Primary Care Provider. In the biometric screening you will get a full lipid panel and glucose reading through a fingerstick test.

Biometric Health Assessments May Include:

  • Total cholesterol
  • HDL cholesterol
  • LDL cholesterol
  • Blood Glucose Testing
  • Blood Pressure
  • Body Composition (height, weight, body fat percent and Body Mass Index)
  • EKG (heart function test)
  • Oxygen Saturation

The online portion of the health assessment is a series of questions regarding your lifestyle and overall health. Based on your answers, the assessment will highlight areas of improvement as well as healthy lifestyle behaviors and screening numbers.

Health assessments are a great way for your employees to get real time feedback of their biometric numbers and help identify potential health risks. With the flu season coming up, and COVID in the mix, now more than ever it’s important to get screened and know your numbers.
